How to use TENS Unit

Positioning your TENS Unit Pads are equally important as the quality of your TENS Devices. You must switch off your device before positioning your TENS Unit Pads on your body. There must be at least 1 inch (2,5 cm) space between each of Pads. Don’t place pads on these areas:

  • Front or sides of your neck
  • Temples
  • Mouth or eyes
  • Chest and upper back close to heart
  • Irritated or infected skin area
  • Numb areas

 

TENS Unit PADs

  • Pre-wire connection which also known as Pig Tail connection
  • Pin Connection

I use my Tens unit while working as a waitress. I swear quite a bit and this causes sores on my skin. Would it work to put clear adhesive over the electrode? Would that keep the sweat from touching the electrode? Or would that make more sweat?
